The hotel had great facilities, including a nice pool and well-stocked kitchen. I also appreciated the free shuttle to town and easy street parking. It was a nice touch that there were lots of places in the open area where guests could congregate to socialize or relax.
Nothing negative to say.

Our room at Castaways Backpackers was spacious and well-equipped with a fridge. The kitchens and bathrooms were always clean and there was a good selection of cooking utensils available. Despite being a bit noisy outside in the evenings, the hostel quieted down after 10:30pm. we had a great stay and would recommend this place.

I had a fantastic time at this hotel. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to ensure I had a great stay. Secondly, the hotel was kept really clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable and pleasant place to be. Additionally, the location was great - just a short walk away from the city center, but still in a quiet area with noise curfews in place. Lastly, the value for money was excellent, with affordable prices and basic amenities provided. this hotel exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it.
All was perfect.

Friendly Staff, Great Facilities, Good Location
I stayed in this backpacker hostel for a weekend and had a great experience. The staff were really friendly and offered loads of helpful information about things to do in the area. The facilities were top-notch, with a games room, cinema room, and well-equipped kitchens. The location was also great, with easy access to the main attractions. Plus, the free shuttle bus was a nice touch.
The only downside to my stay was the noise at night. I could hear other guests partying and shouting late into the night, which made it hard to sleep.

Great location, close to key tourist spots. the staff is helpful and friendly. the breakfast is good, offering a variety of choices, and the rooms are spacious.
The hotel is not clean and could use a thorough deep clean. Dirty towels were left on the floor, and the room had an unpleasant odor.

This hostel had such a cool vibe with plenty of rooms for socializing and relaxing. There were multiple common areas, including an outdoor area with a pool table and day beds by the pool. The owner was really welcoming and gave us all the necessary information and a helpful map. The room was clean with a comfortable mattress. The bathrooms and kitchens were always kept clean.
The walk into the city center took around 20-25 minutes, but they did offer a free shuttle service. The air conditioning required $1 coins, which was a bit inconvenient.

This hotel offers excellent value for the money. Compared to other places we have stayed all over Australia, the price for the stay was amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful, even organizing a hostel bus that takes you to the city centre. The facilities are good and clean, with nice rooms and basic amenities like a fridge and bathrooms within close reach.
All in all, this hotel was just what we needed.

This hotel is an absolute steal for the price you pay. The value for money is outstanding, especially when compared to other accommodations in the area. The attention to detail is evident throughout the entire hotel, from the well-maintained rooms to the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The location, although not in the center of town, offers a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle, yet still conveniently close enough to walk to the main attractions.
Breakfast could use improvement, especially when it comes to the coffee selection.

This hostel is perfectly located near the town centre and all the necessary facilities such as mosques, Cairns central mall and waterfalls are easily accessible. the rooms are well-maintained, with clean and spacious bathrooms. the staff is very helpful and accommodating, offering airport transfers and free shuttle service into the city centre. There are common areas such as a kitchen and a balcony where guests can meet and interact with each other.
The hostel can be noisy at times, particularly at night due to the campervans and young backpackers.

Loved the BBQ area, where I could hang out with the other travelers and pretend to be an expert griller. Also enjoyed the unofficial pool table tournament, even though my skills were questionable. The hostel itself was clean and well-maintained.
Saw some interesting sights during my walks at night, including some vibrant nightlife activities and even a guest giving themselves a very personal injection. Fun times.
